Efficient Elements Setup & Installation Guide
Before You Start
Make sure you have the following:
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2016, 2019, 2021, 2024, or Microsoft 365 (32- or 64-bit)
- A Windows or macOS computer
- Your Efficient Elements licence key (see below)
- An internet connection for licence activation
🔑 Your licence key: 6942-9847-8043-6238 You'll need this when you open PowerPoint for the first time after installing. Keep this handy.
Installation Steps
***F12 has enabled auto-installation on all of our work laptops, so you should be able to open PowerPoint and see a think-cell pop up window. If not, you can also follow these steps below.***
Step 1: Download the Installer
Go to www.efficient-elements.com/downloads and download the installer for your operating system (Windows or macOS).
Step 2: Run the Installer
- Open the downloaded file (it will be an .msi file on Windows).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- The process only takes a couple of minutes. No special IT permissions are required for a standard install.
Step 3: Activate Your Licence
- Open Microsoft PowerPoint. Efficient Elements will launch automatically and prompt you to enter your licence key.
- Copy and paste your licence key: 6942-9847-8043-6238
- Click Activate. Your computer will connect to the Efficient Elements licence server to complete activation.
- Once activated, you're good to go — you won't need to do this again unless you reinstall PowerPoint or switch computers.
💡 Tip: If PowerPoint doesn't prompt you automatically, go to the Home tab and look for the Efficient Elements button on the left side of the ribbon.
Step 4: Confirm It's Working
After activation, you should see the Efficient Elements panel appear on the right side of your PowerPoint window. If you don't see it:
- Click the Efficient Elements button on the left side of the Home tab to open it.
- If it still doesn't appear, try closing and reopening PowerPoint.
A Note for macOS Users
Efficient Elements is available on macOS, but some features are limited due to restrictions on Microsoft's end (not within our control). The core formatting and alignment tools all work as expected. If you run into anything unexpected, reach out to Viola.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to do |
